Elon Musk has a bad habit (ok, maybe more than one) and it is to make grandiose announcements with promises that are later postponed, over and over and over again. We have already seen it throughout the history of Tesla and the delay in the case of the Cybertruck pick-up is striking, although the deadlines were also missed with the Semi model, the company’s electric truck.
Given this concatenation of broken promises, Renault took the opportunity to make fun of the American company. As it did? posted a video showing a worker putting up a sign for the Tesla Semi. About that, a legend says: “There are those who make great announcements”. Then, on images of the same person getting into an electric Renault truck, a legend says “And there are those who are already doing the miles.” Ugh, no niceties, right?
Later, Renault takes the opportunity to say that its electric trucks E-Tech Master, the E-Tech D and the E-Tech D Wide have already traveled 2 million kilometers and that they are even in their second generation. These vehicles cover a load range that goes from 3.1 to 26 tons.
The Tesla Semi was going to be launched in 2019, but by the end of 2022 not a single unit had been delivered yet.
