BMW Motorrad presents in society the new R 1250 Roadstera model specially developed for rides on winding roads, either alone or with a companion.
The bike maintains the 1,254 cc two-cylinder boxer engine, which generates 136 Hp. Features BMW ShiftCam technology to vary valve timing and lift on the intake side, delivering plenty of power throughout the rev range, and a smooth, quiet ride.
The BMW R 1250 R shines with its sporty agility, comfort and engine performance, and from now on it adds new series features and some very outstanding options. Among the novelties of the series, the Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) and a new “ECO” driving mode stand out, which allows the pilot to achieve maximum autonomy, with a smooth acceleration curve and a moderate limitation of engine torque.
It also incorporates the BMW Integral ABS Pro, a braking system that offers even more safety., and that adapts to the configured driving mode. LED headlights come as standard and include adaptive cornering light, which turns on additional LED elements in the main headlight depending on lean angle. BMW also redesigned the LED indicators and the iconic daytime running light.
In terms of technology, the new BMW Motorrad R 1250 R is equipped with a color TFT display with integrated arrow navigation and extensive connectivity. Sum heating system seats and fists, with five levels of heating.
New options include Pro Driving Modes, which provide additional and individually configurable modes, and Dynamic Engine Brake (MSR) control, which helps prevent rear wheel instability during sudden reductions in speed.
The new BMW Motorrad R 1250 R has an Icegrey base paint (non-metallic) in combination with a black chassis, while two model variants will be offered: Triple Black and Sport.
Triple Black, Normal and Sport.
The first has metallic black bodywork, agate gray chassis, gold front and rear brake calipers, stainless steel radiator grille, stainless steel engine trim; the second in metallic racing blue, white frame, gold front/rear brake calipers, black sports handlebars, blue front spoiler.
