Although it was initially said that Toyota was late with the electric by having focused too much on its hybrids, the Japanese brand disagrees. With the Toyota bZ4X they claimed arrive at an ideal timeBecause it is now when sales of this type of model are beginning to take off. And things do not stop there, because in the remainder of the decade its “beyond Zero” range will continue to grow by leaps and bounds. They show it with Toyota bZ Compact SUV Concept.
It is a prototype that has been presented at the Los Angeles Motor Show and is a first look at a future production compact SUV. It could fit in the range just below the bZ4X by dimensions, even the name of Toyota bZ3x is already valued to be exemplary. However, there are still no details about it and we will have to settle for what this electric prototype advances. At the design levelthe truth is that it follows the clean and expressive language present in the latest copies of the brand.

Although it could be similar in size to the Toyota C-HR, it has little to do with it. It has a more futuristic appearance thanks to its streamlined shapes, an aspect that has been worked hard to improve efficiency. The wheels are positioned practically at the corners, with very few overhangs and an exemplary track width. The five doors are maintained, although with a quite striking roof drop and that we do not know if it will take away a lot of space from your cabin.

The interior design is very minimalist and uncluttered. Leaving all the prominence to two touch screens and a very narrow steering wheel that could be reminiscent of the Lexus RZ. They also talk about a personal assistant called “Yui” that will help the user to perform all kinds of actions and is manifested through lighting signals throughout the cabin. The Toyota bZ Compact SUV Concept is made entirely of materialsecological inside to advance in that sought carbon neutrality.
There are no deadlines, but everything indicates that we will have a production model very similar to this prototype. It will be one of the five that bear the nickname of the bZ (beyond Zero) brand and one of the 30 electric cars that Toyota will have worldwide in the coming years.
