The Mexican Institute for Standardization and Certification awarded Mexican Nissan the certificate “Made in Mexico“for vehicles nissan kicks, nissan march, Nissan V Drive Y nissan versa produced at the Aguascalientes Plant of A1 and nissan sentra which is manufactured in the Aguascalientes A2 Plant.
This is the official badge that identifies products made in Mexico, and allows consumers to recognize them as a synonym of quality both nationally and internationally. Among the requirements requested to have the certification “Made in Mexico”highlight:
- Products that are obtained, produced, manufactured and assembled in the Mexican Republic
- Goods that are produced exclusively from materials that qualify as originating in accordance with Treaties or Trade Agreements.
- The product is made with non-originating goods, but it is the result of a production process in Mexico, in such a way that the good is classified in a different subheading than non-originating goods according to the Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System.
For this last point, the production process of the plants (stamping, bodywork, painting, assembly, among others) was examined. As evidence, documents were shared, for example: list of components by model, simple copy of invoices, customs declarations, tariff fraction and letters of origin of imported products, among others.
It is important to note that Nissan allocates the largest volume of production to the domestic marketderived from the great demand for products that exists in the domestic market.
