In January the commercialization of the Dacia Jogger Hybrid, the brand’s first model with a non-plug-in hybrid powertrain. In France it has a starting price of 24,600 euros (there are not too many differences with the Spanish market in other versions of the brand). The first units are delivered in March.
It represents a significant extra cost compared to other engines of the Jogger 2022. In fact, almost 7,000 euros more than the ECO-G engine that we tested, but despite this it is the cheapest 7-seater car on the market.

The price difference is explained in the propulsion system. The Dacia Jogger Hybrid is the most powerful in the range, with 140 hp thanks to a technology similar to that which equips the Renault Clio E-Tech, for example.
It combines a 1.6-liter 90 hp gasoline engine and two electric motors powered by a small 1.2 kWh capacity battery. The first electric motor is 37 kW (49 CV) and the second, somewhat smaller, 15 kW (20 CV), serves as a starter and generator motor, is mounted between the combustion engine and the transmission.

The additional cost also implies having auto switch (the only version for the moment that can have it) and gains a larger screen in the instrument panel. The rest is the same. Even the trunk that reaches 565 liters in the seven-seater versions (708 if we remove the seats). And it is that the 1.2 kWh capacity lithium-ion battery occupies the spare wheel space.
The brand indicates that this propulsion system allows the Jogger Hybrid to move a few km in 100% electric mode, although the important thing is that at critical moments of fuel consumption, such as starting and in the city, it helps a lot. In the urban cycle, it announces 40% less fuel. On average it approves 4.8 l/100, so in addition to being the most powerful it is the one that spends the least in the range.
