The third of the family of prototypes is convertible

Genesis is the premium brand of Hyundai Motor Group and has been operating in markets such as Asia and North America for some time. Now they also want to focus on Europe with some specifically developed models like the Genesis G70 Shooting Brake estate. And it seems that there will be more judging by the number of prototypes that they are presenting in recent times. The most recent is the Genesis X Convertiblea spectacular convertible of those that are not left, which serves to complete a trilogy.

It joins the family that began with the Genesis X Concept and continued with the X Speedium Coupé, putting an icing on this cake of the more passionate prototypes from the Korean firm. In this case, it is a large four-seater convertible, a segment that has been on the decline, but still has its fans. Needless to say, this specimen is fully electricWell, that is the sign of identity that Genesis will have in the coming years. No technical details have been given, although we do know other things.

The first thing that stands out about the Genesis X Convertible is its design languageAthletic Elegance, with very harmonious proportions and marked by its retractable hardtop. In fact, it has transparent panels to allow light to pass through the front seats and, according to the firm, allow them to enjoy the environment. The convertible features a short front overhang that gives way to a very long hood. The highlight of the front is his light signaturewith the quadruple lights of the Crest Grille that have already appeared in the other prototypes.

On the rims we see the Genesis G-Matrix pattern with a concave surface, while the rear opts for minimalism. It is elegantly finished off thanks to that duck tail spoiler and very narrow and horizontal pilots. The bodywork of it has been painted in color Crane Whitewhich refers to whooping cranes, an animal that represents nobility and holiness in Korea.

The four-seat interior is very driver focused, who is the protagonist of the experience. It has a wraparound instrument panel, which integrates with the center console to separate the “pilot” from the rest. It is finished in the colors Giwa Navy Y Dancheong Orange, the first inspired by the tiles on the roofs of Korean houses and the second by the wooden buildings of that country. Count with one sound system developed by sound master Guk-il Yu to create an immersive experience.
