There is no doubt that the advent of electrification has simplified the task for many new companies that have entered the automotive industry, and that they have saved themselves 100 years of technological developments.

The last one comes from Spain and is called Liux, it is based in Alicante and it has just presented its first proposal for an electric car: the Animal, which should reach the markets in 2024.
The Animal It is a kind of medium SUV with 4.65 meters long and 3 meters between axes, whose silhouette reminds us of various cars, including the Jaguar F-Pace.
The grace is that its body will be born from a 3D printing and will use 90% recycled or plant-based materials, including elements created fromand “biopolymers, based on organic fibers and resins”.
With these manufacturing processes, the brand indicates that it will manage to reduce weight (an estimated 1,700 kilos) and save up to 70% of energy and CO2 emissions.
What lyux What has been reported so far is that it works with a powertrain provided by the German subsidiary of the American Borg Warner, with 190 or 240 Hp of power sent to the rear wheels, which allows it in the largest version to reach 200 km/h and achieve a 0 to 100 km/h in around 5 seconds.
There has been no talk of battery technology, but it is known that they are Panasonic which are assembled in modules or adaptable packages and are installed on the floor of an aluminum chassis.
Thus, it is possible to offer versions with two or four battery packs, for a total capacity of 45 or 90 kWh, and with an estimated autonomy of 300 km for the entry version and 600 km for the top of the range. It will also have 800 volt technology which will allow it to offer fast charges.
Liux wants to set an entry price of 35,000 euros and scale up to 50,000, and intends to manufacture about 5,000 units in the first year (2024) and reach 50,000 units in 2026.
