After the deep restyling that it received in 2021, Nissan presented a new update of the Kicks in our market, with small equipment improvements, but without aesthetic modifications -except for the incorporation of the renewed logo of the brand- nor changes in its mechanics, under the specification Model Year 2023.
According to the official statement, the entry-level version, called Sense -with a manual gearbox- received an update inside with a new fabric upholstery for the seats. Also, starting with the Advance MT version, it incorporates a new center console with a redesigned armrest along with two new USB ports (type A), one inside and the other pointing towards the rear seat. It is worth remembering that from this version, the multimedia system now has an 8” touch screen, compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
For its part, the Advance Plus CVT variant, which already stood out for adding two speakers located in the front headrests to offer a greater sound experience, now also adds LED fog lights, improving visibility in adverse weather conditions.

In terms of safety, the entire range has 6 airbags (front, side and curtain), traction control, stability control, brakes with ABS/EBD/BA, hill start assistant, three-point inertial seat belts and headrests in the 5 seats and Isofix anchorages, characteristics that led to the B- SUV being awarded by CESVI.
Mechanically, as we pointed out at the beginning, the well-known 1.6 HR16 gasoline engine that develops 120 HP and 149 Nm of torque is maintained, available with a 5-speed manual gearbox or with the xTronic CVT automatic transmission with 7 simulated gears, always with front-wheel drive. .
