The new CEO of the company said that they will work on this issue.

German automaker Volkswagen faced some negative comments when it first launched the new generation Golf GTI. Many people stated in their statements that it was very pleasant to drive, but they had great difficulties due to the multimedia system. New VW CEO Thomas Schäfer promised that these woes will be fixed.

Speaking to Car Magazine, the new CEO stated that mistakes were made in the MIB3 infotainment system found in the Mk8 Golf as well as most other vehicles in the series. In this context, these errors were also encountered in various electric vehicles and Cupra – Skoda cars. In the continuation of his statements, Schäfer said that the company will start working on this problem and that the new 3.0 software is on the way.

In addition to various improvements on the software side, physical changes will be made in some areas, such as the touch buttons on the steering wheel. In this context, the company’s new steering wheel, shaped at the request of users, will appear in 2024 with the introduction of Tiguan.

In addition to these, Schäfer stated that they now have more teams and they evaluate the requests they receive from customers more. He also stated that many functions will be made easier to use in the future. This shows us that various physical buttons may appear with Volkswagen vehicles again.
