Not many people know that Some of the best motorcycle helmets in the world are designed in Spain. Specifically, in Cartagena, the city where brands such as Axxis and, above all, MT Helmets are headquartered. With a very wide offer, both in terms of quality and type of helmet, the Cartagena firm founded in 1968 as a dedicated family business to motorcycle accessories, has managed to carve out a very important niche on the international scene.
It was in 1978 when Manufacturas Tomás SA —hence its current initials—. He focused on helmets, which he currently manufactures in Asia but designs in Spain. It is present in almost a hundred countries and its headquarters are still in the Mediterranean city where it was born.

We wanted to highlight in this piece another important pole in the international motorcycle helmet sector, India. It is also relatively little known that top-level helmets are designed and produced in the Asian country. And not only one company does it, but several: Vega Helmets, Axor and also Steelbird, our protagonist in these lines.
Founded in 1964 by businessman Subhash Kapur in New Delhii, has become a very important business conglomerate in India that stands out especially for the production of motorcycle helmets.

If you are a lover of American or vintage style helmets, you have a multitude of firms that produce authentic wonders. One of the best known is the Californian brand Premier, for example. Given the diversity that exists in this niche, you may not know of examples like Biltwell, whose annual collections and limited editions are a temptation that is difficult to reject.
Their helmets are light, comfortable and beautifulideal to enhance that custom aesthetic that lovers of these motorcycles like so much.
NEXX Helmets

In this particular tour of the world in search of original motorcycle helmets that are different from the usual ones, we cross the Atlantic back to the Iberian Peninsula. But we stayed in Portugal, where the Nexx factory is, one of the few European helmet producers, if not the only one, that continues to manufacture its designs entirely on European soil (in Portugal, in its case).
Born in the year 2001, its commitment to sustainability and commitment to the environment is firm and differential: in fact, they boast of applying the “ smart factory” model to their business. “Significant reduction in time to market, massively improved flexibility, increased quality, and all with reduced energy and resource consumption,” they explain. And as a result, excellent motorcycle helmets.
CABERG

The industry linked to motorcycles in Italy, as it is also linked to cars, is very powerful. And that means that there are well-known forms specialized in different areas, also in helmets. Some are not as popular (currently) outside of Italy, such as Caberg, which actually was the first Italian company to launch the modular helmet on the market.
The Bergamo-based company is committed to innovation and safety as the pillars of its production, and for this reason its helmets are worn by some top-level pilots and many European motorcyclists, which is where its activity is concentrated. Now that others are taking the spotlight, in Italy especially AGV, we claim Caberg’s biker vocation.
