How to jump a car?

It’s winter time, and that means cold weather and potentially dead car batteries.

If you find yourself in a situation where you need to jump start your car, here’s a quick guide on how to do it. First, you’ll need to gather a few supplies.

You’ll need jumper cables, a working car with a charged battery, and either a battery charger or a portable power pack.

Once you have your supplies, find a safe place to park both cars. Turn off both cars, and then connect one end of the jumper cables to the positive terminal of the dead battery.

The other end of the cables should be connected to the positive terminal of the working battery. Now, connect the negative terminal of the working battery to a metal ground on the car with the dead battery.

This can be done by touching the negative cable to a bare metal surface on the engine block or frame. Once the cables are all connected, start the working car and let it run for a few minutes. This will help charge the dead battery.

Finally, try starting the car with the dead battery. If it starts, disconnect the cables in the reverse order that you connected them. If the car still won’t start, you may need to replace the battery.
