Two people died in a single- vehicle traffic accident on Thursday morning, two were hospitalized with life-threatening injuries and one person has non-life-threatening injuries.
Police told CTV News the incident occurred around 10:30 am on Amiens Road between Oxbow Drive and Melrose Drive in Middlesex Center.
“Our researchers will look at speed, road conditions, weather conditions, that sort of thing to try to figure out what’s going on here.” said OPP. Jeff Hare.
The ages and genders of those involved will not be disclosed until the closest relatives are informed.

“Unfortunately, that’s what we do. It’s part of our job. This kind of thing, especially so close to Christmas, is incredibly difficult. It’s incredibly difficult to handle and doesn’t seem to make much sense right now. So what do we do?” “We put on our hats and stay professional and we have to figure out what it is to tell family members.”
Amiens Road was closed for a few hours for investigation, but reopened on Thursday afternoon.
