In recent days, Aston Martin became the first team to announce when it will launch its 2023 vehicle, the AMR23, revealing that it will take place on February 13th. Following Aston’s announcement, it is expected that all teams will announce their launch dates soon.
The second team to announce its launch date was Ferrari, which will unveil its 2023 vehicle, the Ferrari 675, for the first time on February 14th. Ferrari has once again chosen Valentine’s Day for its launch, after doing so in the 2019 season.
The vehicle will take to the track for its first test immediately after the launch, but the team has chosen to take the car out on the track in Imola rather than Fiorano, a departure from the usual choice.
The biggest signature on the new 675 belongs to former team boss Mattia Binotto, who is preparing to leave the team at the end of the season after submitting his resignation following a season of disappointments, operational errors, and reliability issues.
One of the biggest questions is what innovations Binotto has signed on the 675, particularly in terms of reliability, and how much the new team boss Frederic Vasseur will be able to benefit from these innovations.
It is not yet known how the technical team will be structured after Binotto’s departure, who was in control of both the technical team and the team. The biggest advantage for the team is the return of experienced designer Simone Resta, who has spent the past few years at Haas and Alfa Romeo in a rotating capacity.
