During the last years of valentino rossi in MotoGP there were clashes especially with Marc Márquez. So much so that the break between the two was total. From a relationship of admiration to, directly, disappearing the relationship.
Márquez, on Joaquín ‘El Novato”s program, spoke about that relationship: “With whomever you are risking the championship or the position, you will find him in each race. You have nothing against him, but you have that tension”.
“That is like a divorceDepending on who you listen to, you believe one version or another. There are no good or evil. He happened what happened and that’s it. There was a tension and it exploded,” said the eight-time motorcycling champion.
Speaking of what happened in 2015 with the famous kick and Jorge Lorenzo in the middle, he uses a football simile: “When you’re Messi, you don’t look for contact, you don’t look for the game to heat up. Because you’re the best. When you see yourself with a little inferiority, you are looking for the environment to thin out a bit.”
“The same thing happened a bit in that final of the championship, in which it was where everything exploded. Jorge Lorenzo had more speed than him. He wanted the atmosphere to heat up because he did not have the same speed as Lorenzo. And in the end he gained speed” , comment.
“A reconciliation? No… I respect him a lot for what he has done for motorcycling. He has brought a lot of fans and that’s good, but from there to what happened…”, stated the Repsol Honda rider.
