Yes, The M, in the motor world describes its brand new family of sports cars. That is why the Bavarian brand opens a new chapter in its history. Now it corresponds to the M2, from the municipality of Villa de Reyes, in the state of San Luis Potosí.
The sports division bmw is celebrating its 50th anniversary, and the leading German brand in the luxury vehicle market has decided to close the year with the start of production of the second generation of one of its flagship models.

The San Luis Potosí plant is already in charge of manufacturing the 3 Series and the 2 Series Coupé. This site is characterized by a high degree of quality standards and technologies, this is how it has earned its reputation and is located in a select group. This is the fourth plant in the world to produce M vehicles, joining Munich, Dingolfing and Spartanburg.

In addition, he stressed that this sports compact is for true fans and lovers of speed, since it can easily reach 100 kilometers per hour, in just 4.1 seconds with the automatic transmission and 4.3 seconds with the manual transmission.
Harald Gottsche, stressed that the new M2 continues the brand’s tradition of compact ultra-sports models that began in 1973. Therefore, the San Luis Potosí plant is making history and this is due to the fact that the company has invested more than one billion dollars to build the Plant and thus bet on digital transformation and equip its first-class facilities.
Mexican suppliers are a key piece for this launch, currently there are 77 suppliers installed in the republic that supply parts for this sports car, 26 of them contributed to the renewed aesthetics of this model, developing new components, among them, the covers of the fenders, side skirts, headlights, the exhaust system and the front and rear axles. The concept of this two-door sports car is grand and seductive, with an expressive exterior design with coupe-like proportions.
