Renault has become the first car brand to offer the Waze application directly integrated into the multimedia system. of their vehicles, without the need to use the smartphone as a link
The integration of Waze in the openR link multimedia system offers drivers greater comfort and safety. Without the need to use a mobile phone, the driver has access to real-time traffic information, while other features such as music playback remain accessible even if Waze is activated.

This new experience with Waze is available in European countries for all customers of the new 100% electric Renault Austral and Megane E-Tech equipped with the openR screen and the openR link multimedia system with integrated Google, although the brand’s idea is to bring it to all models.
Customers can easily download and install the Waze app for openR link, either directly from Google Play via their vehicle’s multimedia system or from their MY Renault mobile app. Next, customers can create a Waze account or use an existing one to drive safely, always for free.

“Renault is the first car brand to offer Waze directly on the vehicle’s multimedia screen, without the need to activate the smartphone. We are convinced that the large number of Waze users will appreciate this new feature when driving the Nuevo Austral or Megane E-Tech 100% electric. This is clearly in line with our strategy of offering our customers an intuitive, immersive and connected driving experience.”says Jérôme SEROR, Director of Digital Experience at Renault.
