After the bZ4X, the electric crossover, the brand continues to set the pace that will lead it to have six bZ models (100% electric) in 2026, launches that will go hand in hand with the brand’s traditional hybrid cars.
The new BEV prototype advances the features of a compact SUV below the bZ4x (bZ3X?) since it measures 4,538 mm in length, by 1,888 mm in width and 1,560 mm in height. It has been designed with the European market in mind, the work of Toyota’s Design and Development Center in France.

The brand talks about “sustainable, low-impact materials” and highlights its aerodynamic shapes. It has very short overhangs, and many rearward-sloping angles, to underline “its image as a technologically advanced vehicle.” The lower part is narrower, also to reduce wind resistance and affect agility.

The interior is striking. From the rectangular-shaped steering wheel (the Lexus RZ can have a rather striking one, since there is no mechanical connection between wheels and steering wheel, only electrical). There is talk of seats made with recycled and plant-based materials, in line with the Beyond Zero theme. An onboard personal assistant connects the driver and passengers to the vehicle through audible and visual prompts in response to requests or instructions from the front or rear occupants.
