Last June, the luxury sports car brand Bugatti confirmed that it had delivered the first of the ten Centodieci. It is the new supercar with which it pays homage to the EB110, model of the year 1991 and the germ of its resurgence, since it was the vehicle with which it resumed its activity at the hands of the vehicle collector Romano Artioli after three decades inactive. Only ten people in the world enjoy the Bugatti Centodieci, whose estimated price is 8 million euros, and we already know that one of them is the Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo.
The athlete, who is currently in Qatar playing the World Cup with his team – in the first game, with his penalty goal against Ghana, he became the only player to score in at least five World Cups – is one of the ten people who have purchased the new Bugatti Centodieci. The news has not leaked these days, since it had already been discussed when the first model was delivered to an anonymous buyer at the end of last spring. The novelty is that the Madeiran footballer has already been seen driving his new motorized jewel.
To be rigorous, in the video released by the Maisfutebol portal, the driver of the Bugatti Centodieci is not seen leaving the Football City of Portugal in the town of Oeiras, on the outskirts of Lisbon, at night. Neither Bugatti nor Cristiano have ever denied that he was one of the ten buyers of the exclusive model of the French firm since the first rumors, which started more than two years ago, and it seems no coincidence that a Cientodieci was just seen leaving these facilities after a training session prior to the World Cup for the Portuguese team. Unofficially, it seems clear that the soccer star is already enjoying his new machine.
Only ten units of the most powerful Bugatti
The Bugatti Cientodieci is the most powerful, expensive and exclusive car of all those the brand has designed, produced and sold since its refoundation three decades ago. There is an exception, the design known as ‘La Voiture Noire’, the unique model –11 million euros is its price– that it presented in 2019 and delivered in 2021 in London. Inspired by the Bugatti Type 57 SC Atlantic and developed from the Bugatti Chiron, last July it was hunted on the streets of Zurich by @leyoungcollector, an Instagram account specializing in sports cars.
There is not a single unit of the Centodieci, but ten throughout the world. And we know that one of them has a white bodywork, that of Cristiano Ronaldo, and two of them, the first delivered in mid-July, are designed in Bugatti’s most representative colour, Fabbrica Blu blue. Gray color –Gris Nuage Matt, specifically–, has recently been delivered to its owner in Switzerland, as the French brand itself has confirmed on its social networks.
We therefore speak of a limited edition hypercar. The first time we saw it was in 2019, at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, but it was in February 2021 when the first test unit of this supercar was assembled in Molsheim, which has completed 50,000 test kilometers before. to step on the street in the hands of its first owners.
As we said at the beginning of the text, the Centodieci pays tribute to the Bugatti EB110, one of the sports cars that marked the beginning of the 90s. Powered by the timeless 8.0-litre W16 engine that is already part of history (although it is still alive) from Bugatti, its maximum power is 1,600 hp, which translates into a 0-100 km/h acceleration in 2.4 seconds. The maximum speed could exceed 400 km/h but it is electronically limited to 380 km/h. It is, and these figures show it, a more powerful version than the Bugatti Chiron, since it has 100 more horsepower, although the top speed of the Chiron Super Sport 300+ exceeds 490 km/h.

The most significant aesthetic changes are focused on the body, where a kit has been added based on the aforementioned Chiron. For example, the reduced size front grill stands out; the two side air intakes, which have a divider in the same color as the rest of the body; the led lights, whose design is narrower and thinner than in other Bugatti models; the detail of the five holes behind the windows; or the wheels with seven double spokes that reveal red brake calipers.
These are just a few examples of the innovative design details of the Centodieci, a modern interpretation of the contemporary history of the brand. An exclusive jewel in hypercar format that only ten pairs of hands drive around the world.
