Tesla has started producing 3,000 Model Y

Electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla has started increasing its production in recent times, taking steps to do so. In particular, the increases in fuel prices worldwide have led many people to switch entirely to electric vehicles, which has had a positive impact on the company’s sales. According to the latest information, a new milestone has been reached at Giga Berlin.

According to a recent post by Tesla, the company has started producing 3,000 Model Y vehicles per week at its Giga Berlin factory in Germany. This means that the factory can produce around 150,000 Model Y vehicles per year. Production of 1,000 vehicles per week was reached in mid-June at Giga Berlin, and production of 2,000 vehicles per week was reached at the beginning of October.

Considering that Tesla has an annual production capacity of 250,000 vehicles at Giga Berlin in general, we can say that the company will start working at full capacity when it reaches a weekly production of 5,000 vehicles. Although the capacity is currently in this form, the production capacity can be increased with the arrival of new models and upgrades.

Currently, Model Y vehicles produced at Giga Berlin use 2170 type cylindrical battery cells, which are sourced from LG Energy Solutions. Recently, the company introduced Model Y vehicles with 4680 type battery cells. However, these vehicles are currently produced at Giga Texas. It is not known when these vehicles with new cells will be produced in Europe.
