Volkswagen Group stopped advertising on Twitter with all its brands

After General Motors and Ford, he joined the companies that stopped advertising on Twitter in Volkswagen.

With Tesla’s owner Elon Musk buying Twitter recently, some automakers, especially General Motors and Ford Motor Company, stopped advertising on the social media platform Twitter.

A new one has been added to the list of companies that have stopped giving paid advertising to Twitter. Volkswagen Group and none of its subsidiaries will place paid advertisements on Twitter. Volkswagen group, which includes important brands such as Seat, Skoda, MAN, Scania, Bentley, Lamborghini, Audi, announced that they will not place paid advertisements on Twitter.

A spokesperson for the VW Group announced on Wednesday that it will do the same across all of its brands within the VW Group and will not place paid advertising on Twitter, which was bought by Elon Musk for $44 billion.

The brand that used Twitter most actively within the VW Group was Ingolstadt-based Audi. The brand, which actively uses Twitter and interacts with its followers, now only answers customer questions on its own website.

An Audi spokesperson said in a statement:

“We are looking into the situation closely and will decide whether to advertise on Twitter again depending on the developments.”

He used his expressions.

Audi was a brand that tweeted almost daily and interacted a lot with its followers on Twitter. Now, we see that the Ingolstadt-based brand has not tweeted since November 1.

Tesla and Twitter CEO Elon Musk, who spoke to automotive manufacturers in the past days, said that automotive manufacturers should continue to advertise and explained that he had a very sensitive approach to manufacturers.
