FIAT 500e returns more glamorous to the United States

Stellantis had announced that during the Los Angeles Motor Show he would present the American version of the second generation of the FIAT 500, which as is known, is produced exclusively with electrical mechanics and is called 500e. However, the European compact will land in North American dealerships in the first quarter of 2024, almost four years after its European debut. For the same, final specifications have not been disclosed.

In Europe, the electric hatchback is sold with an engine that generates 117 Hp and towards the end of November a variant developed by Abarth that promises close to 200 horsepower will debut.

It is also offered with two different battery options. The 24 kWh is focused on daily use since it promises a range of 185 km in the WLTP cycle, while the 42 kWh battery seeks to captivate those who like walks, offering up to 320 km of range on a charge.

500e Kartell.

While we found out about all this, and since there was something to be shown at the Los Angeles booth, FIAT took three special editions of the model, all linked to exclusive fashion houses: the 500e Giorgio Armani, the 500e Kartell and the 500e Bvulgari. The three units have been fully customized inside and out and, according to FIAT, they represent the three souls of the model: sustainable design, sustainable fashion and sustainable luxury. All will be auctioned off for charity.

Armani designed this unique version of the FIAT 500e with a bodywork that features a laser-engraved chevron pattern which makes it look like a textile material. Add to that striking bronze-colored wheels in the shape of the designer’s initials (GA), and a bronze plate at the rear of the vehicle with the name Georgio Armani written on it. It also has the GA monogram in the interior, where it adorns the headrests of the seats.

500e Bvulgari.

the jewelry house Bulgari dubbed their car “Mai Troppo” (Never Too Much), and includes gold dust mixed into the gold and black paint, and that is inspired by the stars of Bulgari. The wheels are two-tone, he adds gold-plated nameplates around the vehicle, and the cabin design is inspired by his famous silk scarves. Also features a 500 emblem on the steering wheelwhich includes a removable brooch with three large gemstones of amethyst, topaz and citrine.

500e Kartell.

The design company Kartell (specialized in chairs, tables, lamps and household items) uses the design of one of its iconic products, the Kabuki lamp with a lace-like shade, to design the 500e. The wheels, side mirrors and dash have a similar design, while the exterior is an ultramarine blue called Yves Klein blue, iconic of the Kartell brand.
