Orlando is a city located in central Florida, in the United States. It is the county seat of Orange County and the center of the Greater Orlando metropolitan area. The city was founded in 1875, and its name was chosen in honor of soldier and statesman Orlando Reeves, who died in the area during the Second Seminole War.
