Meet the new model of the American automaker GMC: GMC Sierra EV
GMC’s new pickup model Sierra was introduced. However, the model name now has EV at the end. Expected to be available for orders in early 2024, the model will replace the Hummer EV at GMC dealerships.
The Sierra EV comes with an Ultium battery pack, just like the Hummer EV. In other words, the battery is designed as a part of the body of the vehicle. It should also be noted that the new pickup model, which has a range of 643 kilometers with a full charge, supports fast charging up to 350 kWh with its 800V DC charging feature. By the way, GMC’s electric pickup model can go without saying that it has a range of 160 kilometers with only 10 minutes of charging.
GMC’s new vehicle has the capability to supply your home’s electricity for 21 days if you have the necessary equipment. If we need to talk about performance, the Sierra model has 764 PS power and 1,046 Nm torque. The model, which is always in four-wheel drive mode when purchased with a dual electric motor, can accelerate 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds in Max Power mode.
The Sierra model also has an air suspension system that allows it to raise and lower itself. Inside, a 16.8-inch screen is among the first to catch the eye. The head-up display, which can transmit different information about cars to the windshield in a very clear and colorful way, is one of the elements that attract attention in the interior.
GMC’s Sierra EV models will have a price tag of $50,000, but prices will vary widely depending on trim level. For example, the price of the GMC Sierra Denali Edition 1 version will start at $107,000.
