Presented at the beginning of July of last year, the third generation of the compact coupé from the Munich firm is one of the products that most represents the traditional essence of the brand, with rear-wheel drive – or integral – and an option with a 6-wheel drive engine. cylinders online. Aesthetically, the 2 Series Coupé – not to be confused with the Gran Coupé, which is completely different – retains the typical BMW silhouette, with a long nose, a rear passenger compartment and a shorter tail. For its set-up, the engineers worked especially to provide it with a set-up that guarantees sensations of sportiness and an emotional experience, with an ideal weight distribution of 50:50 and more torsional rigidity. In this new generation of the Coupé there will be a peculiarity: while the Gran Coupé version -with four doors- uses the UKL platform of the Series 1 with front-wheel drive, the Coupé -with two doors- shares the CLAR platform with the Series 3.
