Marc Márquez is in search of his best version. Or in a version even of the best that we have seen of him. The Catalan, pilot of MotoGP Honda and one of the great names in world and Spanish motorcycling, has suffered and not exactly a little with injuries since 2020, but at the end of this course he already showed hints of what he is still capable of doing. And Jorge Lorenzo, his ex-partner, has it more than clear.
The Spaniard, also a world champion and current commentator on ‘DAZN’, has emphatically stated that the one in Cervera is still the best.
“He is the best. On a technical, physical level… well, now physically not because of his injury. But he’s also the best mentally.” tells Lorenzo in words for ‘Solo Moto’.
And continues: “He is the only one who is not afraid of falling and sometimes it plays against him, but when he has it in his favor it’s a great quality”.
“If the arm respects him, we will see the usual Márquez. The only thing is that age and injuries take their toll.” says the Spaniard.
In addition, he questions the World Cup victories of the last three champions if the best Márquez was there: “For me the best was not there. Without that uncle they have had it much easier2.
“With a hundred percent Marc on the track, surely someone will not arrive. I don’t know if he would have won the three titles… But I think that a capable Marc would have won them”, judgment.
