One of the Batmobiles used in both Tim Burton-directed Batman movies is going on sale… and it’s not cheap.
The Batmobile, used in the Batman movies, is one of the most iconic cars in movie history. The classic vehicle market has a wide range of replicas that can be yours, but there are very few original copies.
Now, Classic Auto Mall, in Pennsylvania ( United States), sell an original unit of the Batmobile which was led by Michael Keaton in his fight against the villains in the films “Batman” (1989) and “Batman Returns” (1992), both directed by Tim Burton.

THE MYTHIC CAR FROM WARNER BROS. PICTURES 1989 was designed by illustrator Julian Caldow and was later developed as a prop car at Pinewood Studios in England by the special effects team led by John Evans.
After its use in the 1992 film, the car ended up at Six Flags Park in New Jersey. It was used as props for the Batman Returns roller coaster. before a movie car collector bought it.
Now the same copy, in mint condition, is being offered for the first time at a public sale for $1.5 million. (1.4 million euros at the current exchangehe).

The unit has a all-black fiberglass bodywork. Bat-shaped fins on the sides of the cockpit and a jet engine turbine in the center of the nose are part of its unique design. The exterior design incorporates many air intakes; there is one large one on the roof and multiple smaller ones on the sides. The car mounts 15-inch wheels covered with Mickey Thompson tires.
The interior, inspired by the McLaren F1, It has three seats. But its arrangement is unique: there are two normal seats in the front and a third raised one, which functions as the real driver’s seat.
Classic Auto Mall says the car’s cockpit has “buttons, levers, lights, control panels, and an overabundance of non-functional bells and whistles” that are more cinematographic in function than actual driving experience. Yes, the Batmobile comes with a functional flamethrower.
