LEGO, the famous toymaker of buildable blocks, takes advantage of the season of gifts and toys to present the new attraction of its theme park, Legoland. To our delight, it is the new Ford F-150 Lightning in real scale, obviously armed with LEGO pieces and is a faithful copy of Ford’s newly arrived electrified pick-up.
This 1:1 replica of the Lightning included everything for its assembly: punt, stirrups, lights, wheels, tires, etc. and the collaboration of 15 LEGO Master Builders was needed for the assembly work, which by the way, started last July at the LEGO Group headquarters in Enfield, Connecticut.
LEGO, together with the expert shipbuilders, did a little numerology of the work which required the Ford F-150 Lightning; and in addition to patience these were the data:
- Pieces Required: 320,740 pieces
- Assembly time: 1,600 hours.
- Length: 5.8 meters
- Width: 2.1 meters
- Weight: 1,692 kilos (the real Lihgning weighs 2,948 kilos).

This replica of the Ford F-150 Lightning is on display at the theme park, right in front of the Ford Driving School in Florida. The experience is very playful and entertaining for the little ones, so if you travel there these holidays, it would be an excellent excuse to get to know it. The approximate cost of the ticket is $85 dollars per person, depending on the day.
