The vehicles will be produced at the company’s factory in Brussels.

German automobile manufacturer Audi is among the companies that make changes in its product range with the electrification process. The manufacturer, which is part of the Volkswagen Group, is trying to get a share from the market by launching new electric models. According to the latest posts made in this context, the company has started the production of the Q8 e-tron.

Mass production of the Q8 e-tron and Q8 e-tron Sportback started at the factory in Brussels, Belgium, on 14 December, according to Audi. This factory has been producing the company’s first electric mass-production vehicle, the e-tron SUV, since 2018. To date, approximately 160,000 e-tron SUVs have been produced at the factory.

Starting from the second half of 2023, the company will also produce 70 Q4 e-trons per day at the factory. Currently, the Q4 e-tron is produced at the Volkswagen Group plant in Zwickau, Germany. The Brussels-based battery plant works well for the entire Audi Group, which includes Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini, Ducati and Italdesign.

The Audi Q8 e-tron and Q8 e-tron Sportback offer increased efficiency, improved aerodynamics, higher charging performance and battery capacity with the renewal. This helps the vehicles offer a range of 582 kilometers in the SUV and 600 kilometers in the Sportback when equipped with a large 115 kWh battery pack (92 kWh battery pack is standard).

LG battery cells were featured in the first e-tron model. However, the new Q8 e-tron and Q8 e-tron Sportback feature battery cells developed by Samsung SDI. The vehicles manage to attract attention with their features.
