Definitely one of the best products we have tested in this 2022is undoubtedly the recent launch of the BMW Motorrad CE04a fully electric scooter that undoubtedly left us with a great taste in our mouths and, therefore, became one of the gala guests at the Special 2022 of Autocosmos.
Although we have just presented it to you recently and we already told you about its origin, development and, of course, about that not so impressive technical sheet that, at first glance, does not have unusual numbers, However, at the moment of giving the first acceleration, we were impressed with what it can do and that is why we were able to have it on the track, to push it to the limit.
Once we are ready to start, very early, and having our safety equipment ready and, of course, the scotter, we activate the heating for the grips, the Eco driving mode, and now, yes, to start this great day. Definitely, one of the best things about the CE04, is the characteristic of stealing glances wherever you go. and this time was no exception, because when we moved from our starting point to the test track at Centro Dinámico Pegaso, it was the center of attention at all times, heavy vehicles, passengers, fellow bikers, enjoying the futuristic and attractive minimalism in the design of the scotter and even taking photos on the sly, enjoying smooth suspension on a road that was definitely very bumpy, although it is important to mention again about the seat and how exaggeratedly flat it is, which causes discomfort after a short time starting driving.
Once on the track, and going through an exhaustive photo session, we begin to see the behavior of the CE04, recognizing the layout of the track and starting with the Eco mode, which is the most limited in power but is equally surprising. With abrupt acceleration that decreases immediately when you release the accelerator so that in curves it is not necessary to use a brake, just let go of the accelerator a little to make it stop thanks to the braking recharge mechanism and be able to enter without problems with excellent maneuverability and always glued to the ground, giving you the confidence to switch to subsequent drive modes, taking it up to 120km/h limited top on a straight and the best part was that at the end of the day the CE04 still had 45% battery despite the use that was given to it, so in short, it is an excellent transport option with plenty of power, a good size, which can also carry a passenger comfortably and, most importantly, totally friendly to the environment.
