McLaren Artura is being recalled!

The new CEO of McLaren, Michael Leiters, suspended deliveries of the Artura a few months ago in order to solve quality issues at the British car manufacturer. However, it can be said that past mistakes continue to affect the Woking-based brand. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration recently launched a recall program for the new supercar. You may need to take your vehicle to the dealership due to a problem affecting at least 164 vehicles.

The nuts used for the fuel pressure fuel hose can loosen over time and cause fuel leakage over time. This is obviously not a desirable situation for your newly purchased hybrid supercar. Your vehicle may catch fire due to fuel leakage. According to the statement in the NHTSA report,

If the nuts used in the fuel hose loosen, the gasket located between the end of the fuel hose and the outlet of the pump may become damaged, causing fuel leakage.

McLaren spokesperson Roger Ormisher told Automotive News Europe that 50 of the 164 vehicles affected by the recall have been repaired and returned to their owners. It should be noted that many of the affected vehicles are press vehicles.

Earlier this month, McLaren CEO Michael Leiters stated that “immature” products were released in the past, but they will no longer do so.

“We saw that the Artura was still immature. That’s why we suspended deliveries.”

Brand CEO Leiters, who used the statements, said that they had zeroed production to solve the problem.

McLaren’s hybrid and supercar was introduced in a breathtaking performance and design event.
