Valentino Rossi It is in the history of motorcycling. He is one of the great MotoGP champions and one of the most competitive riders the category has ever had. His rivals have been many and not all have been able to defeat him.
‘The Doctor’ has won nine motorcycling world championships, only surpassed by Ángel Nieto and Giacomo Agostini. Seven of those world championships in the premier category of motorcycling. Almost nothing.
Dani Pedrosa, one of the many rivals he has had, has spoken in ‘DAZN’ about what the Italian’s mentality was like. A different mentality because Pedrosa acknowledges that he did not always seek to “be the fastest”.
“That was my mentality. His was not, his was: ‘I go out, and if I can stop it, I stop it’”says the man who was a Honda driver for several seasons.
And that’s how Rossi demonstrated it. Especially in those last years in which he touched her with Jorge Lorenzo Y Marc Márquez they multiplied. Rossi has not forgotten those ‘confrontations’ and has referred to them on countless occasions.
Which shows that that mentality that Pedrosa talks about was always very present. Stop whoever and whatever.
