Charles Leclerc does not want to be second. He does not want to see how a World Cup like this goes, like the one in 2022, in which at first it was thought that it could be for him. That could be yours… but that he ended up losing with almost two months to go for the conclusion in Abu Dhabi. The Monegasque pointed to the Ferrari, and has found an ally in his looks.
Because Romain Grosjean, Former F1, he has spoken in ‘Motorsport Magazine’ to give Leclerc a cloak. To say that he understands him, and that he understands his “disappointment”.
“After the first three races only a madman would not have thought that Ferrari was going to win the World Cup with Leclerc,” he claimed.
And he argues: “But he finished second. That’s where his disappointment comes from. When you lead the World Cup with 45 or 65 points over Verstappen and you end up behind… It hurts.”
“That he has made mistakes? Yes, some. But his work has been very good. When you have to catch up, you fail. If things are calm it is somewhat easier. She had to get defensive about some things,” he adds.
Grosjean hopes that Ferrari has learned from something for the future: “They had a fast car for qualifying. I think they will be stronger in 2023.”
“Leclerc has impressed me. I think he and Ferrari will be in the fight,” she says.
