“In short, the cars have gotten bigger and heavier and they’re not particularly aerodynamically efficient because they have a lot of drag. I think it’s a bit shameful that Formula 1 has gone down this path…”, denounces.
“The biggest problem is the amount of energy it takes to move the damn thing, no matter where that energy comes from. It seems that the technical rules of Formula 1 they don’t understand thatbecause the big car manufacturers obviously don’t want that,” he explains.
Finally, he has called for a “complete review” of the current regulations: “In my opinion, needs a complete overhaul. Of course the cars have to be fast because we all know that TV makes them look slower and less dramatic as a result.”
