Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer NIO has recently emerged as one of the leading brands, recently producing its 300,000th vehicle and aiming to increase sales with new models in the future. According to recent reports, the company is working on a new flagship sedan model.
According to AutoCar, NIO will produce a sedan to compete with the Mercedes-Benz EQS and Lucid Air, with a price of more than ¥1,000,000 ($143,406). Currently, the company’s best model is the ET7, which competes with the Tesla Model S and stands out with its features, including a range of approximately 1,000 km on a single charge.
The new flagship model is expected to be released in 2024 and be sold worldwide. The company is currently focusing on its opening in Europe. NIO entered the Norwegian market in 2021 and recently made its first deliveries in Germany. It is expected that the manufacturer will also operate in other European countries such as the Netherlands in the future. In America, we expect NIO to enter the market before 2025.
