The Coastrunner EV is an electric buggy, developed by Savage, designed to enjoy good weather and with a range of 200 km.
The Dutch manufacturer Savage Rivale has presented his electric interpretation of what a buggy should be to enjoy the good weather. Baptized as the Coastrunner EV, it is based on an aluminum chassis, with a steel roll cage around the cabin and steel bars at both ends.
It has a light structure and has a body made of composite material to reduce its weight as much as possible: in this way, declares on the scale only 800 kg of weight. The design is quite modern, with sculpted fenders, thick side sills, LED lights, a folding canvas roof, and heavy-duty bumpers. In addition, the roof has supports to transport surfboards, wakeboards or even skis.
It has a range of 200 km
The cabin, exposed and waterproof, it has four seats, an audio system, a three-spoke steering wheel with buttons from the Volkswagen Group, an infotainment touch screen and an analog instrument cluster. Wood details on the dashboard, floor and rear accentuate the luxurious ambiance, while the boot can hold a 60-litre fridge. It is prepared to be cleaned in an automatic car wash or to be hit by the waves of the beach.
The Coastrunner EV is equipped with a 20 kWh battery, which promises a range of 200 km between charges, and a rear-mounted electric motor that generates 67 CV of power and 200 Nm of maximum torque , with a maximum speed limited to 120 km/h. According to the Dutch company, a full charge only requires 30 minutes, although the type of charger has not been specified.

Savage Rivale has not announced pricing for the Coastrunner EV, but has noted that production is already underway and that there are only 13 unsold units left which would be delivered in 2023.
