Ferrari stops taking Purosangue orders

Italian automaker Ferrari has made a radical change to its product line in recent months. The company launched it by producing a 4-door family SUV for the first time. Although some people are not happy that the company has launched such a car in the first stage, according to the latest statements, the Italian manufacturer is quite satisfied.

Ferrari Marketing Manager Enrico Galliera announced in an interview with Drive magazine that the company has stopped taking orders for Purosangue. He stated that they are happy that the demand is quite high, but that they do not find it right to receive too many reservations without making any deliveries.

“It’s no secret that we stopped taking orders. We’ve had such interest without delivering a single car. We made a decision that we felt was consistent with Ferrari’s position and model.”

In general, Ferrari Purosangue is sold at a very expensive price compared to its competitors. Although it is almost twice as expensive as a Lamborghini Urus, according to the order list, some vehicle owners will only be able to deliver after 2 years.

Ferrari stated that the SUV model will only make up 20 percent of annual production. Production is scheduled to begin later this year, with the first deliveries in 2023. Although the vehicle will only appear with a V12 engine at first, it will also have a hybrid unit in the future.
