Nissan plans competition series for the new Z GT4

A few weeks ago, Nissan had shown the first images of the new Nissan Z in GT4 racing version, and now it debuts in front of the public at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

The new Nissan Z GT4 is based on the new Z and the brand indicates that it is a “racing car”, so it is not approved for use on the streets.

It measures 4.3 meters long, 1.8 meters wide and weighs 1,410 kilos. The engine is the three-liter VR30DTT, which delivers 450 Hp, although the final figures will depend on the so-called Balance of Performance that the categories usually carry out to match the performance of all the models.

The final version displayed at SEMA has a traditional decoration in NISMOwhich combines elements of the brand’s glorious sporting past with modern touches.

On the chest it shows the number 23 inserted in the traditional red circle (rising sun) that defined the Japanese cars of the 70s. And new Z logos on the rear quarter panel highlight the modern interpretation of the original 240Z and Fairlady Z badges, all covered in NISMO’s iconic red and black color scheme.

Nissan took the opportunity to tell something about the racing program for this car. It will be available for private teams from the 2023 season, both in the SRO Pirelli GTA America (United States) as in the Super Taikyu Series (Japan), with the official support of NISMO.

The price of the new Nissan Z GT4 will be US$229,000 or 33,200,000 yen, and includes the racing package.
