The original Cayennes have undergone restoration.
The first generation Porsche Cayenne celebrated its 20th anniversary with great pride. Porsche Middle East and Africa FZE wanted to set another bar for this celebration with a very special project. The brand entrusted its two importers in the United Arab Emirates with the task of restoring and customizing its first generation Cayenne fleet for land use. Thus, SUVs would be ready for the Icons of Porsche festival to be held this weekend and would be able to show their strength.
As you can see in the photo gallery below, the modified Cayennes were tested by media representatives near the Hatta area near Dubai. These beauties are now ready to be displayed at the Icons of Porsche festival. We would like to point out that during this event, eight vehicles will be available for use in off-road locations, which guests can use together with their driving experts.
Darren Abel, one of the Porsche dealers, said: “We wanted to highlight his offroad abilities by using various modifications and some accessories from Porsche Classic. Together with Porsche Center Dubai we purchased four E1s, each dating from 2007 to 2010. Both organizations really enjoyed changing them and breathing new life into E1.”
We would like to point out that the hardest part of the restoration process was searching and finding vehicles that met Porsche’s requirements. The Cayennes we’ve seen here are in pretty good shape. The parts used in the restoration process were sourced from different places, as standard as possible, and were verified by Porsche before being approved for modifications. After all, these babies, aged between 17 and 20, required a lot of meticulous work. We think so, because there are even customers who want to buy these Cayennes.
