Very sad day in the traditional Rally Condroz-Huy. As reported by the organization of the Belgian race in an official statement, two young people, a 16-year-old girl and an 18-year-old boy, have died after being run over.
Apparently one of the participants lost control on a slippery areahe left the trace and rammed against the children.
“He ran off the road, hit a parapet and landed on his side, when he hit a group of spectators who were in an area off limits to the public” reads the text.
Now, the authorities are investigating whether the young people were really in an area prohibited for spectators.
Official mourning and the Condroz-Huy Rally have been decreed has been suspended without disputing the last timed and the final ceremony.
