The Mullen I-GO is a small, low-priced electric car that will arrive in Spain to be an alternative to last-mile transport.
Mullen Automotive, the start up electric car manufacturer, has just presented a new urban commercial delivery vehicle for several European markets, including Spain, the United Kingdom, Germany, France and Ireland
known as Mullen I Go, aims to fill the gap between the growing demand for fast deliveries and the space constraints in congested European cities. The first market to receive the Mullen I-Go will be Germany, starting in December 2022, with a price of about 12,000 euroswith taxes apart.
It will arrive in Spain with a competitive price
The Mullen I-GO will only be available with a motor, an electric block of 46 CV and 102 Nm that allow it to reach a maximum speed of up to 100 km/h and that it is capable of offering a range of about 160 km (has a 16.5 kWh battery). The vehicle has a wheelbase of 2,438 millimeters and a curb weight of just 795 kilograms.
The I-Go is not a Mullen product, but rather is licensed by the Chinese manufacturer Henan Henrey Shiying Vehicle, which manufactures a four-seater version of this model. Mullen will be in charge of adapting it for urban delivery, his main mission.
“Mullen’s goal has always been to build a complete line of commercial electric vehicles, and we realized that one of the most critical issues today is the inefficiency of last mile delivery in urban markets”, explained David Michery, CEO and President of Mullen Automotive.
These “midget” electric cars could dominate our roads in the future
“The introduction of the I-Go, a vehicle fully homologated by the EUcreates opportunities for the company in Europe, where there is a great demand for this type of small delivery vehicle”, he added.
Mullen’s commercial vehicle range includes Class 1 and Class 2 electric cargo vans, as well as Class 3 to Class 6 electric vehicles from the Bollinger portfolio. However, none of these models have gone on sale yet, although expected to launch in 2023.
