This version had been anticipated by the company in mid-March but we were just waiting for the release of its price. It has exclusive aesthetic details to give it a sportier image and small tweaks in the tuning of the suspension.

The new:
It is the sporty aesthetic version of the C-SUV that had been anticipated a few months ago. The regional version of the Corolla Cross GR-Sport is inspired by and shares much of the aesthetics of the version presented a few months ago in Taiwan: the differences are clearly visible, the front sector received a new grille with a black frame that extends towards the headlights. The bumper is also different, featuring a larger trapezoid-shaped central air intake along with new surrounds for the fog lights. This change made the SUV have a different visual identity and for many even more pleasant than the conventional versions. There are no new features on the sides, except for the alloy wheels with a specific design and some – very subtle – stickers with the colors of Gazoo Racing at the height of the skirting boards. Lastly, at the rear, the bumper was slightly redesigned, incorporating a simile diffuser with a gloss black finish along with the headlights with darkened mask, the GR logo and a more prominent spoiler.
Inside, the sportier setting is given by the black linings and numerous red details, like the leather upholstery with red stitching on the seats and the embroidered GR logo on the headrests. It also has a plate with the serial number of the unit.

Idem SE-G version, with dual-zone automatic climate control with S-Flow system, multimedia system with 9” HD touch screen compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, AM/FM radio, MP3/Bluetooth/USB/AUX, electric windows with one touch screen, central locking, on-board computer with 7” TFT display, front and rear parking sensors, reversing camera, button ignition, electrically adjustable seats and multifunction steering wheel, bi-Led headlights, electrically opening sunroof , cruise control, steering wheel paddles, leather upholstery and 18” alloy wheels.
Safety equipment:
7 airbags (front, side, curtain and driver’s knee), 4-wheel disc brakes with ABS/EBD/BA, traction control, stability control, hill start assist, front and rear fog lights , Isofix/Latch anchorages, three-point inertial belts and headrests in the 5 seats.
Like the SE-G version, it adds the Toyota Safety Sense driving assistance package, with adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, involuntary lane departure alert, lane keeping assistant, sway alert with detector alert, blind spot alert and rear cross traffic alert. At this point, it differs from the Corolla GR-Sport sedan, which does not have this pack.
Mechanics:
It maintains the 2.0 VVTi Dynamic Force gasoline engine (with variable timing and double injection, direct and indirect D4-S), which develops 170 CV at 6,600 rpm and 200 Nm of torque between 4,400/4,800 rpm, associated with a CVT automatic gearbox with 10 simulated gears.
Additionally, it has some changes in the set-up: the suspension adds a structural arm attached to the chassis to give the vehicle greater rigidity, which reduces the degree of roll and transmits greater solidity, increasing the precision and stability of the direction. The brand also mentions that the EPS (Electronic Assisted Steering) software has been adjusted to improve handling assistance, providing more sense of movement and control of the vehicle in response to maneuvers.
